Air conditioner tune-up and maintenance in Sacramento and all of Northern California

A yearly tune-up is the cheapest thing you can do for your air conditioner. It catches the small things – a weak capacitor, a dirty coil, low refrigerant – before they turn into a no-cool call on the hottest day of the year.

What happens when we come out

A South Placer tune-up is a real inspection, not a rinse and a sticker. The technician checks refrigerant levels, tests the capacitor and contactor, cleans the outdoor coil, checks the drain, tightens the electrical connections, measures the temperature split and leaves you a written report with photos. If something is on its way out, you hear about it with a price, and you decide.

What the tune-up includes

  • Refrigerant pressures and temperature split
  • Capacitor, contactor and electrical connections tested
  • Outdoor coil cleaned, condensate drain cleared
  • Filter checked and the right size recorded on your file
  • A written report with photos, and any findings priced

When to book a tune-up

  • Every spring, before the first hot week
  • The system is more than five years old and has never been serviced
  • Your last electric bill was higher than the same month last year
  • You just moved in and do not know the system’s history
  • The air feels humid even when the AC is running
