What happens when we come out

The technician checks the ignition, the flame sensor, the gas valve and pressure, the heat exchanger, the blower and the safeties – and shows you what they found with photos. Safety comes first: if a heat exchanger is cracked or a flue is wrong, you will know, and you will know your options. Most repairs are completed on the first visit.

Good to know

Questions we hear about furnace repair

Why does my furnace keep turning on and off?

Short cycling is usually a dirty filter, a dirty flame sensor, an overheating limit switch or a furnace that is too big for the ductwork. The first two are quick fixes; the technician will tell you which it is.

Is a gas smell an emergency?

Yes. Leave the house, do not switch anything on or off, and call PG&E or 911 from outside. Call us once it is safe to book the repair.

Can you repair an older furnace?

Usually, yes. If parts are no longer available or the heat exchanger has failed, we will tell you honestly and show you the replacement options next to the repair price.
